About Ms. Rivera

Ms. Jailitza Rivera is a Mobility Counselor of The Glendower Group, the housing development instrumentality of the Housing Authority of the City of New Haven. Ms. Rivera joined The Glendower Group in June of 2024.

As a Mobility Counselor, Ms. Rivera is responsible for assisting Section 8 participants in successfully identifying a home that fits their family needs, as well as assisting all participants in obtaining and completing the appropriate documents needed to successfully receive other resources, such as security deposit funding through Livable City Initiative (LCI) or UniteCT, as well as rental applications.

Prior to working for The Glendower Group, Ms. Rivera fulfilled the position of Records Management Specialist and Administrative Assistant with Planet Home Lending for 6 years. Ms. Rivera was responsible all administrative assistant duties as well as making sure all Service Releases were successfully completed and transferred on the agreed date, along with other daily job duties. Prior to this position, Ms. Rivera fulfilled multiple other positions following her completion of school.
