Tanya Chirsky
Housing Mobility Manager
Tanya Chirsky is the Housing Mobility Manager for The Glendower Group, the housing development instrumentality of the Housing Authority of the City of New Haven. Ms. Chirsky joined The Glendower Group in May of 2024.
As the Housing Mobility Manager, Ms. Chirsky is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Housing Choice Voucher Mobility Counseling Program and the Expanded Choice Program, as well as assisting with Glendower Relocation Services.
Prior to working for The Glendower Group, Ms. Chirsky served as the Housing Manager for New Opportunities, Inc., a Community Action Agency. In this capacity, Ms. Chirsky was responsible for the administration and management of the agency’s housing assistance programs, including Rapid Rehousing, Permanent Supportive Housing, and the Homeless Prevention Program, among others. Ms. Chirsky also has many years of experience facilitating social service programs at companies such as Wheeler Clinic, New Reach, and Community Partners in Action.
Ms. Chirsky holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Post University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Arkansas State University, where she earned membership into the Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society.
