The Glendower Group, working with Icon Architecture, located in Boston, MA completed the redevelopment at Twin Brook, formally known as Ribicoff Cottages.
The redevelopment effort consisted of demolition and replacement of an existing dilapidated, 1960’s garden apartment complex with modern, energy efficient townhouse style housing units. The area will include a total of 106 mixed finance/mixed income housing units dispersed between townhouses and apartments within a three-story community building. Preferences for a portion of these units is given to the elderly and/or disabled. The entire development is Energy Star Certified.
“This team has worked tirelessly over the past decade and championed the efforts that resulted in the construction of 400 units of housing at a cost of more than $120 million” says Karen DuBois-Walton. Twin Book is just one phase of the West Rock Revitalization effort.
